These Last Few Weeks

Not only is time passing by me in a flash, but the days seem to be mixing all together in one big blur. Sometimes an hour feels like 4 hours, sometimes it feels like 15 minutes. I feel like my days revolve around a clock. From feedings, diaper changes, nap times. I actually started the washing machine today and forgot to put clothes in it.

Oaklen is starting his -everything has to be in my mouth- phase. Getting him dressed is much more difficult when it takes 5 minutes to put his arms through each sleeve because he's trying to eat his shirt.

*It's taken me about 3 hours to write this post. You'd think with all the sitting down and getting back up I do, I'd at least have some nice leg muscles. Looks like I'll finish here.

Happy Mothers Day!

To ALL of the mothers out there. But especially this woman:
Your amazing mom. Thank you for everything you do for me. xoxoxo It feels so crazy that I'M celebrating Mother's Day as well. I hope I can be even half the mother that some of the women in my life are.

Oaklen's blog

I know a couple that have a baby blog for their sweet little baby, and thought it was an awesome thing to have! So I started one a little while back for Oaklen, but it was more of just a journal for me going through motherhood, and for Oaklen. I have had some people asking me if they can be invited to read his blog, so I decided to open it up to those who follow this blog. I'll still be posting lots of things about Oaklen here, but I like to have a place where I can write down all the little details and things he and I are going through in a more personal place. So if any of you are interested, leave a comment here with your email!

2 Month Checkup

Oaklen had his doctor appointment, and everything went well! He was in the 84th percentile for weight. Big boy. =) Other than the normal checkup, and shots (which were sad for the both of us), the dr. told us that we have to have him looking towards his left as much as possible. He has less muscle on the left side of his neck, so it's either lots of tummy time and looking left, or physical therapy. It's nothing serious, and he's still as healthy as can be!
