We FINALLY finished the baby's room! Of course we still need to add family pictures into the empty frames and a couple more decorations to the shelves, but we're done! HUGE thank you to mom for making the bedding and curtains (your amazing), and Debbie for the beautiful chair!

"Diaper backward spells repaid. Think about it."
These last few days that I have left, I'm really trying to absorb the fact that I'll be holding a new baby. Of my own. It really hasn't sunk in yet and I don't think it will until he's in my arms. Although I have baby on the brain 24/7. And I'm always thinking about things that I'm going to miss about being pregnant, and things that make me ask "WHY?".
So for me to remember, I wanted to write down those things.
Things I will miss:
Things I won't miss:
Yes. Let this be my motivation to suck it up and stick it out for the last week and a half. Because instead of nine months, we could all be pregnant for 2 years like the elephant. Although I do see a resemblance....
So for me to remember, I wanted to write down those things.
Things I will miss:
- watching his feet jolt across my belly all day, and everytime I lay down for bed.
- spazzing out before his hiccups.
- occasional pampering from others. That will be greatly missed.
- feeling him move every morning when I wake up.
- pressing his body against my hand when I rub lotion on, or scratching my belly. Already like his daddy.
- creeping people out when they watch him move and bounce around.
- using my tummy for a table. Amazes me everytime.
- having dogs curl up to and protecting my belly. Baxter fights off anyone who wants to touch my belly. Harley on the other hand uses it as a step stool.
- hearing his heartbeat at the doctor's.
- the desire to clean.
- sleeping in. I'm NOT a morning person, so this should be interesting!
Things I won't miss:
- feeling of my skin about to rip everytime he kicks hard.
- strangers staring at my belly. I'm not well endowed enough to have ever had to say "hello, I'm up here!!", but this makes up for it.
- using the bathroom every half hour.
- laying on my sides. Never, ever again!
- water retention. Will I ever have ankles again?!
- being called prego, preggie, preggie pants, prego woman....ughh
- maternity clothes!! Yeah, there lifesavers, but I'm so tired of wearing the same outfit!!
- bumping my belly into everything. I obviously have no depth perception of it's size.
- doctor appointments and everything that that involves.
- grunting getting in and out of bed, the car, the table, couch.....
- my hairy legs. I don't even remember what it's like to bend from the hips!
Yes. Let this be my motivation to suck it up and stick it out for the last week and a half. Because instead of nine months, we could all be pregnant for 2 years like the elephant. Although I do see a resemblance....

Countdown!
Two weeks!! That's all I have left! I can't even tell you how anxious I am. People have been having their babies all around me and I just can't help but get so jealous! If anyone knows of some really good tips on how to start labor, please, send them my way. =)

36 week status
I had my {dreaded} doctor appointment yesterday. Thank goodness everything went well and we just MIGHT get to meet this baby before his due date! Ok, wishful thinking, I know, but it may be in the cards.
First things first- he's dropped. I figured he'd dropped sometime within 34-36 weeks because I have to pee ALL THE TIME now, and I don't have problems breathing like before. Not to mention all the crazy contractions I've been having that keep me up literally almost all night long. She mentioned that he dropped quite a bit too.
Second- I'm dilated to about a 2.
And third- I'm 50% effaced.
I really wouldn't mind a Valentine's baby! Please keep that in mind, baby Gerber.
